We loved our stay here!! Our room was clean and spacious with a large balcony and a lovely seating area which were perfect to watch the sunset. We had a wildlife show each evening from our balcony, from displaying toucans on a nearby tree to the acrobatics of a group of squirrel monkeys jumping from tree to tree through the grounds. The food was lovely (recommend the pan sheared tuna in the restaurant and the cacique sour cocktail in the bar). The staff were friendly and helpful. We want to return to Costa Rica someday and when we do we…

Feels like a Tropical Paradise…

Villas Nicolas is a condo hotel on the road to the Parque National Manual Antonio. The rooms (I stayed in 2 of them), were lovely. The furnishings were nice, the bed was comfortable, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms were clean & spacious. There was plenty of hot water. The views from the rooms were spectacular, looking out over the trees to the ocean. Sunsets were gorgeous. All the rooms were on the hillside, a downslope from the street, so each room had a view. The grounds of the Villas Nicolas were lush and beautiful. Pathways around flower beds,…

I stayed here on December 16, 2013 and had a great time. The hotel and grounds is so beautiful and Julio and everyone who works there are so nice and helpful. They let us arrive early, upgraded us, helped us book a number of (last minute) tours, and were overall so friendly. We stayed in a number of different hotels while touring Costa Rica, and this one had the nicest rooms (separate bedroom, living room, balcony), the views of the water and rain forest are breathtaking, and it was a great value. I would recommend anyone in Manuel Antonio to…

We were so so pleased with our stay here! The villas are very spacious and beautiful! Amazingly large patio with hammock boasts a beautiful ocean/ jungle view. Breathtaking! Close to many shops and restaurants! Julio and the rest of the staff were so accommodating and welcoming! They booked all of our tours too! Walking distance to the Manuel Antonio national park and beaches ( a nice 20 or 25 minute walk.. Hike on return!) we also would recommend the ADR tour for a thrilling and adrenaline adventure of zip lining and rappelling !! Absolutely amazing! Bergeronm, Fredericton, Canada. January 28,2013.

I was referred to Villas Nicolas by a friend who stayed here in the past. I was not disappointed at all. The hotel ground was beautiful and we felt safe. They have a security guard walking the grounds at night. Service was very friendly, and our rooms were great for the cost. A little small, but we didn’t spend a lot of time there anyway. The balcony with the hammock overlooking the ocean is a must! it makes the trip and you can see amazing sunsets. They have a dog and a few cats which are the grounds keeper’s pets….

To die for views!…

We drove to Manuel Antonio with no hotel reservations and happened to stumble upon Villas Nicolas. We asked for a tour of the property and they happily took us to the different available room types. We opted for one with a huge balcony that overlooked the hills and ocean. It had a hammock that gave it the “vacation” vibe. The room itself was basic, but nice. I have to say the appeal really was the feeling of being on a tropical vacation. Views to die for, a room that was open and had nice accommodations, and good location. There was…

We had room #9 which was perfect for our family of four, lots of space for everyone. The rooms were super clean, well appropriated kitchen and the property was well maintained. The view from the terrace was amazing and we were able to see monkeys swinging through the trees below one morning. As others have said, the staff is extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way to make your stay more enjoyable. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool in the afternoon and visiting with other guests and my husband had a massage one afternoon poolside. The…

We had Villas #8 and #11. It’s a beautiful, quaint property with a great ambiance. We ate dinner there one night and it was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful with awesome views! We loved this place and would never stay anywhere else if we have a chance to go back to CR!. Mike Arnold from Centreville, Virginia.  Reviewed in July 2013.

Our room was 3-up, cozy and clean. We loved the large balcony with a view of the ocean and a cute porcupine lodging in our rafters! The breakfasts were tasty and Alexandria and Julio were helpful in arranging transportation for us and taking care of some burned-out light bulbs in a timely manner. Janis C from Visalia, California. My wife and our two teenage daughters stayed at Villas Nicolas at the end of March. The room was comfortable and view from the deck was fabulous. We also ate at the El Rancho restaurant located on the property both nights we were there. Fresh catch of the day dishes were delicious. We also booked a tour of Manuel Antonio with the hotel. Dago was our guide and he found many animals and birds for us during our time in the park. He was very generous with his time — we did not feel rushed, as we saw many other…

Best place of all…

This was our last stop in C.R. of 4 different geographical area – from N. Caribbean to Arenal, Monteverde to M.A. over 2 weeks. This was both my favorite area and the best place we stayed on the trip. The rooms were just beautiful – full kitchens, living room, adequate bath (low water pressure) and ocean views off the patio (also large, with table chairs and hammock). The only ding on our particular room was it was open from the living room area to the bedroom. Would have been nice to close it off (like a true suite). Staff very…

This was our third visit to Villas Nicolas, each time we expect things to be different from the past trip, but this place is always the same, always fantastic. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the rooms are always clean and pleasant. The El Rancho restaurant always makes the best food at reasonable prices served by the friendliest staff. The pool and grounds are always well maintained and the location is perfect, close to everything, restaurants, bars, beach. We like Villas Nicolas so much, we have already reserved for next winter. Spent two days at villas Nicolas at the end of a very active (for us) week in Costa Rica. It was perfect for what we wanted. Spacious, comfortable, room with large balconies for sitting and enjoying the atmosphere. Beautiful outlook and friendly staff. Would recommend having at least one meal at the onsite restaurant, but close to many other great options for food. Bus just outside the door for the ride down to park and beach, into Quepos. Would definitely stay here again. Reviewed February 2013 on Trip Advisor.
